Durga Puja 2026: Registration Terms and Conditions

By completing registration, the registrant agrees to these Terms and Conditions for themselves and for everyone included in the registration.

1. Confirmation of Registration A registration is confirmed only after payment has been successfully processed through Square, NEOBA’s payment processor. If the payment is declined, incomplete or reversed, no registration exists and NEOBA may refuse admission. The registrant makes sure that all information given at registration is accurate and complete.

2. No Refunds or Transfers All sales are final. Registration fees, ticket fees, subscriptions, donations and any other amounts paid to NEOBA are non-refundable and non-transferable. This applies if the registrant, or anyone in the registration, does not attend all or part of the event for any reason. Registrations cannot be transferred to another person, household or future event.

3. Changes to the Event NEOBA may change the event program, schedule, performers, menu or venue arrangements without notice. Such changes do not entitle anyone to a refund. If NEOBA cancels the event entirely, NEOBA will tell registrants how amounts paid will be handled.

4. Photography and Recording NEOBA, its co-sponsor The Desi Orbit Foundation, and their authorized representatives may photograph, film and record the event. Attendees consent to the capture and use of their image, likeness and voice, and those of minors in their care. NEOBA and The Desi Orbit Foundation may use these materials without compensation in community communications, publications, social media and promotional materials. This includes the websites ourneoba.org and DesiOrb.com. Attendees who do not wish to be photographed should tell a NEOBA volunteer at the event.

5. Personal Property and Supervision of Minors Attendees are solely responsible for their personal belongings. NEOBA, its co-sponsors, the venue and their respective officers, volunteers and agents are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property. Parents and guardians must supervise minors in their care at all times and are responsible for their safety and conduct.

6. Venue Rules and Conduct Attendees must follow all rules of the host venue. These include the ban on alcohol and smoking (including vaping) on school property, and the ban on eating or drinking in the gymnasium. Food and beverages may be consumed only in the areas NEOBA designates for that purpose. NEOBA may deny entry to, or remove without refund, anyone whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, or breaks venue rules or these Terms.

7. Assumption of Risk and Release Attendance is voluntary and at the attendee’s own risk. As far as the law allows, attendees release and hold harmless NEOBA, its co-sponsors, the venue, and their respective officers, directors, volunteers and agents from any claims for injury, illness, loss or damage connected with the event. This does not cover harm caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Food and Allergens Food may be prepared in facilities that handle common allergens, including milk, nuts, wheat and soy. NEOBA cannot guarantee that any item is allergen-free. Attendees with dietary restrictions or allergies are responsible for their own choices.

9. Use of Contact Information and Email Communications By registering, the registrant consents to NEOBA and its event co-sponsor, The Desi Orbit Foundation, collecting and using the contact information provided, including email addresses. They may use it for:

(a) confirmations, updates and other notices about the event; and (b) newsletters, announcements of future events and programs, and other community communications from NEOBA and The Desi Orbit Foundation.

The information will be used only by these two organizations and will not be sold, rented or shared with any other third party. If you wish, you may unsubscribe from newsletters and non-event communications at any time. You can use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact NEOBA directly. Unsubscribing does not affect event-related messages for an active registration.

10. Acceptance Completing registration and payment means the registrant has read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
